This is the second year of the Crossways Bible Study. Participants from year one should register for year two either online or at the Welcome Center. Past Crossways participants have said that the second year of Crossways is certainly the best. Not only do you know what to expect but you also delve into the New Testament and usually things really start coming together for participants.

The Divine Drama

A 28 week class covering the Bible’s complete storyline as well as an exploration of the basic teachings that emerge from the Scriptures. Examine how the Bible applies to you today.

Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes
Thursday evenings beginning September 11
7:00 –9:00 PM. Led by Greg Buck

Cost: Approximately $20 for the book, Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes by Kenneth Bailey.

This 25 week class will deepen your understanding of New Testament parables and other writings by blending  21st century western interpretations with a 1st century Middle Eastern perspective. In addition,the class will consider the literary structure of the New Testament writings and related Old Testament references. This is a loosely structured discussion class, one without a strong lecture component. Participants should come prepared each week to discuss whether and how the reading material has affected their understanding of the New Testament writing. Participants should bring the text and their Bibles to class each week.

The Bible for Busy People
Tuesdays, September 9, 16 & 23         7:00-8:30 PM

Cost: $5  KidCare is available for $9/child for the three sessions.

People often read bits and pieces of the Bible, but seldom have time to put the whole story together and see the "big picture." This class, which includes a video presentation, will lead you on a journey through the entire sweep of the biblical narrative —relating it to both history and our lives today.
