Couples & Marriage Ministries

Marriage ministries events are open to everyone: married, engaged, and dating couples.

Couples and Marriage ministries bring opportunities for fun, growth, and learning for couples of our congregation. A mix of fellowship events, occasional presenters, and retreats provide opportunities for couples to nurture their relationships, develop relationships with other couples, and grow in Christian faith.

Lutheran Marriage Encounter
Lutheran Marriage Encounter is a weekend for a married couple to focus on your relationship. There is a series of presentations and time to reflect and to discuss the topics in the privacy of your hotel room.  No matter how long you have been married, a Lutheran Marriage Encounter weekend can improve communication and bring renewed closeness. It is a weekend of discovery…a lifetime of love.

Upcoming spring weekends are:

April 16 - 18, 2010 Country Inn and Suites in Duluth

April 30 - May 2, 2010 Holiday Inn, Alexandria

For weekend information and registration call Pete and Phyllis McMahon at 763-561-1575 or visit the Lutheran Marriage Encounter web site at: www.GodLovesMarriage.org. Lutheran Marriage Encounter brochures are available in the narthex or from the pastors.

You may also contact Rita DeBruyn and Jim Hedin, members of Shepherd of the Valley at 651-687-9651.
