Charlie Ruud, former St. Paul Saints player and current associate pastor reflects upon the experience of playing professional baseball while attending seminary.

A graduate of St. Olaf College ('04) and Luther Seminary ('08), Charlie Ruud played professional baseball from 2005-2009. Most of his career was spent as a starting pitcher for the Saint Paul Saints, St. Paul, MN where he holds club records for most career wins, strikeouts, innings pitched, and complete games. Charlie currently serves as associate pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church in Northfield, MN where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
