Spring Tour of Tables

Ladies, invite your mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends to join you at our Women's Ministry Tour of Tables Spring Luncheon event. SOTV's Narthex is transformed into a decorator showcase with an array of beautifully set and decorated tables each with their own story to tell, all set by members of our congregation.

We had a great time last year, so we are going back to the Heartwood Conference Center for this year’s Women’s Summer Retreat. This is an all inclusive weekend. Watch for registration details in the weekly newsletter and plan to join us for this exciting weekend.

 


HUG BAGS (Helping Us Give Blessings and Gifts)

Thanks to all who have contributed items for Hug Bags. Our pastors and parish nurses have distributed 250 bags to women and teens in our congregation, to uplift them in times of sorrow and in times of joy.

Below is a list of the items to collect. We are requesting small, store purchased items (4-8 oz). Thank you for your generosity!

Please note: We will no longer accept donations of holiday items or sample sizes of shampoo or lotion from hotels.

  • coordinating Bath & Body Works shower gel and lotion (4-8 oz)

  • shower scrubbies/puffs

  • fuzzy socks

  • smaller sized candles in holders

  • individual beverage packets (tea, coffee, cocoa, cider)

  • coffee mugs

  • inspirational items (magnets, flip inspirational calendars, small angels, bookmarks)

  • notepads & pens

  • journals

  • mints (tic tacs, Breath Savers)

  • teen (ages 13-18) focused items (gum, lip gloss, cute notepads, fun bookmarks)

Ongoing Groups:

Women In New Konnections (WINK)

Join the WINK women each Sunday, 10:45 - 11:00 a.m.at the round table near the Welcome Center. This is a point of contact for women who attend church alone and would like to connect with others. The WINK group also has occasional events planned for women to come together for fellowship. Stop by the welcome center to register for upcoming events. Please join us! All are welcome!

Shepherd Quilters

Shepherd Quilters will resume to meeting every Monday in the fall from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at SOTV.

All skill levels are welcome to help quilt, cut, iron, and stitch. Quilts are donated to Target House and other organizations.

Caring Quilts Day

CBC (Challenged by Cancer)

Every 2nd Tuesday              
7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at SOTV

An opportunity for women living with cancer to gather and support one another. Support groups have helped thousands of people cope with cancer, and no matter where you are in your journey, you are encouraged come. If you have questions please leave a message on the parish nurse line (952) 985-7365. 

 

Golden Stitchers (a.k.a. Senior Quilters)

Meets year-round every 1st & 3rd Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.at SOTV. This senior quilting group made over 100 quilts last year and donate them to missions, hospitals, and other organizations. All skill levels welcome to quilt, cut, iron and stitch.
