Make A Special
Family Treat!
Enjoy this fun treat as a family! And,
while you take turns giving it a shake, take the
opportunity to talk about patience. Respond with stories
about things you all have a hard time waiting for. Then
bring closure to this conversation by pointing out that
God gave us the gift of patience as an important thing
for members of God's family to express.
Homemade Ice Cream Recipe:
(makes approximately 1 scoop of
ice cream)
Ingredients
1/2 cup whole milk
2 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Supplies
2 Ziploc freezer bags - 1 quart and 1
gallon size
1 cup rock salt or ice cream
salt
Directions
Mix the above ingredients in a
quart-size freezer bag. Close the bag tightly

Fill 1/3 of a gallon-size
freezer bag with ice cubes. Sprinkle in 2
tablespoons of
rock salt.

Place smaller Ziploc into
larger Ziploc. Shake, roll and toss vigorously
for approximately 10 minutes. You may wish to
double bag it to keep from leaking.

Take
smaller bag out and spoon out ice cream.
