"Fill the Ark" Weekend

To benefit Heifer International

Animals are taking over SOTV! Walton’s Hollow Petting Zoo is bringing 40 farm animals for you to see and touch. The Petting Zoo is here Sunday and the Living Gift Market will be in the narthex all weekend where you can symbolically purchase an animal for a terrific cause.

Fill the Ark weekend is our annual fundraiser for Heifer International where you can “buy” various animals (bees and tree seedlings too) which provide food and income for a family in a developing nation. It’s not a hand out, but a hand up, empowering people to better their lives with dignity and knowledge.

Additionally, families who receive animals promise to pass on the gift by giving one of its offspring to another family in their community.

Since 1944 Heifer International has helped over 12.5 impoverished families become more self-reliant through the gift of livestock and training of its care. We are called to share our gifts, above our regular offering, with those in need around the globe. We thank you for your support of this ministry!
