April: HUG Bags
Our pastors and parish nurses distribute bags to women and teens in our congregation, to uplift them in times of sorrow and in times of joy.  

Below is a list of the items we are currently accepting. Store purchased items are preferred (4-8 oz). Hotel size and seasonal items will be donated to a local charity. Thank you for your generosity!
  • body wash/shower gel and lotion (matching sets 4-8 oz)
  • shower scrubbies/puffs
  • fuzzy, stretchy socks/slipper socks
  • nice soaps
  • individual beverage packets (tea, coffee, cocoa, cider)
  • coffee mugs
  • inspirational items (magnets, flip inspirational calendars, crocheted crosses, small angels, bookmarks, notepads, pens, etc)
  • teen (ages 13-18) focused items (gum, lip gloss, fun nail polish, cute notepads, fun bookmarks)

Habitat for Humanity
June 18-22 and June 25-29 

We are happy to once again be teaming up with Thrivent Builds as we work on homes in Shakopee. You can choose to work a whole week, or a few days as your schedule permits. Come to this educational luncheon where you will hear presentations from Leiton Larson (Shepherd’s Kitchen Ministry Coordinator) and Loris Sofia Gregory (Fresh & Local Healthy Kitchen Coach). Learn about Farmer’s Markets, buying “Fair Trade,” and the benefits of buying fruits and vegetables as alternatives to common food choices. Hear why and how to shop and enjoy fresh & local, chemical-free food, for less money and effort than you can imagine! Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Leiton using locally available foods.

Give the Gift of Sight

Lions Clubs International collects old, unwanted eyeglasses for redistribution in developing countries. If you have old eyewear siting around or stuffed in a drawer, please consider bringing them to our
