8th Grade Confirmation  Forms & Announcements

With all the Bible knowledge you picked up in 6th & 7th Grade, it is time to move on and explore some other areas of your faith.

In 8th Grade you get to ask questions like, "What does it mean to be Lutheran?" and "What's up with The Lord's Prayer?"

Throughout your 8th Grade year you will have the opportunity to explore, in-depth, some ideas that are pretty central to our Christian faith and Lutheran Tradition. Topics include: Martin Luther, The Ten Commandments, The Apostle's Creed, The Lord's Prayer, Baptism, and Communion.

Register online or download a registration form. Forms also available in the Youth office. Registration starts Monday, June 30, 2008.

Family Faith Night!
On two Wednesday nights you get to bring your parents to Confirmation for an evening of some pretty cool conversation.

Wednesdays begin with LARGE GROUP in the Chapel. Find out about the Trivia Challenge and other crazy eighth grade traditions. Then one of our very own Pastors comes in to help bring you the day's lesson. It is a great opportunity to get to know the different Pastors here at SOTV.

After large group you break up into SMALL GROUPS of 6 students with 1 adult guide for some more exploration of the topic and how it applies to your life.

A conversation about Teens and Sexuality is a unique part of the 8th Grade Experience. One Wednesday during the year, parents and students are invited to come at 5:45 or 7:00 for a program on this essential part of what makes us all human.
