Shepherd of the Valley actively partners with families in our mission of faith formation. It all begins in the waters of baptism, and continues into adulthood.
The entire community of faith also plays a significant role in the formation of vibrant faith in children and youth, and so we strive to:
- Recruit, train, and support adults to work with Children, Youth, and Families in ways that fit their gifts, passions, and personalities.
- Empower the whole congregation to fulfill their responsibilities as the adoptive “faith family” of all young people through educating and inviting participation in creative, authentic, and appropriate ways.
- Recognize that all the ministries of the church are tied to CYF ministry and collaborate across departments for forming vibrant faith.

Is your 3, 4, or 5-year-old ready for preschool?
SOTV’s Celebrating Children Preschool is a play-based program that partners with the families to give the students an age-appropriate education for 3, 4, and 5-year-old children.

For the sixth year Palm Sunday worship will feature all children participating in worship with palm branches and song, celebrating Jesus riding into the sanctuary on a live donkey! Come to any worship service in the sanctuary, pick up a palm branch and sit together as a family. Children will be invited forward early in the worship service for the joyful celebration!
GodZone will not be in session on Sunday, April 1 as we celebrate Easter with family and friends.
Wednesday, May 2 is the last day for GodZone (Zone 45). Registration for 2018-19 will begin on Sunday, June 24.
