Splash with the Spirit
Saturday, January 9, 2010
at
10:00 AM.
Come to SOTV to get “Splashed with the Spirit” Come see
the baptism font up close and ask questions, to a SOTV
pastor. We will have a scavenger hunt around SOTV and do
activities. You will receive a special gift from SOTV.
3-4 year olds:
Let the Little Children Come
Saturday, September 26
at 9:00
AM.
Jesus wants all the little children to come. Come play
games, do activities and have a special snack, all to
help remember your baptism. During this event we will
give you a introduction to GodZone. You will receive a
new Bible and bag, as a gift from SOTV
4-5 year olds: Carnival Creation
Friday April 9, 2010 at 7:00 PM.
Come prepared to
do activities relating to creation. We will have special
treats and do some creative crafts. All Children who
attend will receive a special gift from SOTV.
Kindergarten:
My Very Own Church
Saturday,

Come remember your baptism at your very own church. We
will do activities and have a child friendly service.
The children will get to know their own church in a fun
way.
1st Grade: Follow Jesus

Calling all first graders. Come to your Celebration of
Baptism. We will see what it means to be true followers
of Jesus through activities and crafts. Come see the
many ways we can follow Jesus everyday
2nd Grade:
Prayer=Talking to God

PM.
Jesus taught
us to pray “The Lord’s Prayer” Come learn and explore
The Lord’s Prayer, though activities and crafts. We will
explore the many different ways we can pray.
3rd Grade: Get the Message
Sunday, September 13, 2009

10:00 AM.
You will receive the Adventure
Bible, when you come to this event. We will explore the
Bible and give you some tools and
suggestions on how to use your new Bible through
games and activities.

4th Grade:
The Ten Commandments: 10 Rules to Live By
Saturday, January 10, 2010, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Come experience A baptism in the 11:00 a.m. service. Following lunch we will explore The Ten
Commandments like never before. You will receive a
special gift to take home with you to help remember the
day you were Baptized!
Grade 5: First
Communion
Is your child ready to receive
communion? Come to a Family Learning Event where you and
your child will hear that this special meal is “for
you.” This event is designed for elementary-age kids and
their parents. Children and adults alike will come away
with a deeper appreciation for the amazing gift that
Jesus has given us in the sacrament.

Children can take first communion on the weekend of
October 3-4 at any of the services.

Children can take first communion on the weekend
of April 17-18 at any of the services.
Fifth graders
come with family, friends and sponsors to your
Celebration of Baptism Event and
your First Communion. It
will be an exciting day in your faith journey!
6th Grade: Passages--Worship
Sunday, October 11, 2009 at 10:30 AM.
Sixth graders and families come to
worship on October 11th. You will be receiving a new
Bible as you start middle-school. It will also be a
chance for you to attend your first HYPE and
orientation.
8th Grade:
Stand
Your Ground
Wednesday January 20, 2010 at
7:00 PM.
You are invited to join us at SOTV
for your Celebration of Baptism Party “Stand your
Ground”. It will be a amazing night of Faith Fun and
Fellowship!
