is MOPS?
Welcome to Shepherd of the Valley
MOPS! We are looking forward to seeing you!
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is
an international non-profit organization providing
small groups designed to build friendships and
support each other.
MOPS exists to encourage, equip, and develop
every mother of preschoolers to realize her
potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name
of Jesus Christ.
We begin each meeting with brunch
and fellowship, followed by a speaker, activity, or
game on topics such as parenting skills, enriching
relationships, family values, etc. We also
participate in service projects, crafts, and holiday
fun.
MOPS meets at Shepherd of the Valley two Thursdays a
month from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Following are the dates for
2012-2013: September 13 & 27, October 4 & 11, November 8
& 29, December 13 & 20, January 10 & 24, February 14 &
28, March 14, & 24, April 22 &25.
What
is MOPPETS?
-
Moms can fully relax and enjoy themselves in MOPS
meetings knowing that their children are well cared for
in our MOPPETS programs. Children are grouped into rooms
according to age.

While in MOPPETS, children play, do faith-based
activities, and have a snack. Children remain in the
same room all year, so they are able to make friends and
get to know their teachers well.

Our
teachers are paid staff that have been background
checked by the church and they work hard to provide a
wonderful, caring and nurturing environment for our
children.
