You may bring these items and place them in the offering
basket as we collect each Wednesday, Sunday, or Monday
in January:
If you are a
Preschooler,
please bring a coloring book or a
children’s book.
If you are in
Kindergarten,
please bring a bar of soap.
If you are in grade 1,
please bring a child-size comb/brush.
If you are in grades 2 &
3, please bring a regular size
of adult shampoo and matching conditioner or a
shampoo/conditioner combination.
If you are in grade 4,
please bring lotion.
If you are in grade 5,
please bring woman’s
deodorant. |
Preparations are again being made to create 200 LOVE
BAGS for area women’s and children’s shelters.
This is a great evening
of service for families with all different ages of
children.

Donate
items for the bags – This year, we are partnering with
GodZone to collect many of the items needed for the Love
Bags. However, we will need other items donated from the
congregation. Please sign up for the items that you are
willing to donate on the poster located in the Narthex.
Also, cash or check donations will be accepted. Checks
can be made payable to Shepherd of the Valley; in the
memo, note that they are for Love Bags, and bring them
into the church office or drop them in the offering
plate. Please bring your donated items into the church
office by Saturday, Feb 7 at 6:00 PM.

Help
to shop and set up for the event —Come on Sunday at 1:00
PM. to help set up for the assembly line and/or shop to
fill in the holes. This time commitment would be from
1:00 PM to approximately 3:30 PM

Help
fill the bags —Sign up on-line or at the Welcome Center
to attend the Family Journey on Sunday, February 8. At
this event, we’ll have pizza and then fill the LOVE
BAGS. There’s plenty to do for everyone!! BRING THE
WHOLE FAMILY!

Help deliver the bags to the Eagan
and/or Hastings location – On Monday, Feb 9, we’ll
meet at SOTV at 10:30 AM to deliver the LOVE BAGS to the
two shelters. Directions will be given at that time.
Time involved would be approximately 1 to 2 hours.
