Take Out Jesus
Posted: June 18, 2018
“Take Out Jesus” is the Year of Send's Putting Feet to our Faith summer opportunity to remember that we are called by God to go out from the church building and our homes and take Jesus to the world. As individuals and families, wherever we see an opportunity to serve others, that is where we should take Jesus.
Have fun with this “Jesus on a stick!”
Take pictures with him and send them to the church (directions on the back of the figure). These pictures will share the ways you have found to be Jesus’ hands, feet, and voice in your home, community, and world. See the pictures already sent in!
As we conclude the third year of welcome, transform, and send, we are gratified and encouraged by the congregation’s response to the invitation to serve others. We recognize that we have been welcomed in the fellowship of Christ, transformed by his love, and sent to love and serve others.
The banner in the narthex with feet on it represents a small number of the many ways you have found to provide love and care to others throughout this year.
Our official year of send is ending – yet the work of being Jesus’ hands and feet on earth goes on!
