Who am I? What are my origins? Who were my ancestors and what is their story? Have you always been intrigued by these questions, but are perhaps a bit too intimidated by the thousands of available resources to even begin the search for those answers? Please join us to hear speaker, Audrey Leonard, present professional suggestions, information, practical ideas, resources and helpful tips for how to begin and document that journey.
Audrey is the current President of the Irish Genealogical Society International, and she advises that no matter what your ancestry is, the process for researching your family history begins in the same way. Who knows – you may find you are related to some famous (or infamous) person! Bring your questions, and if you are willing to share any books, scrapbooks or photo albums related to your genealogy that you have created, please bring those too!
If there is enough interest, and someone is willing to lead the group, we will consider starting an “Ancestry Affinity Group”. Please register by April 10 so we can be sure to provide enough copies of the resources to everyone in attendance.
