This Week in GodZone PK-K

Highlights for the week of October 15, 2017

Small Group Time:
Pharaoh has let God’s people go with Moses. Suddenly, he realizes what he has done and sends his soldiers to get the people back! God’s people were trapped between the soldiers and the red sea. They had to be brave! Moses lifted his hand and God separated the water making a dry path for the people to cross to the other side. Students made a picture of Moses in which they can raise his hand and added a cotton ball beard to him. Then, we tried to part some water using just our breath!

Large Group Time:
Squiggles and the neighbor boys were jumping in the leaves! They had so much fun. Once he got home, Squiggles started sneezing and he couldn’t stop! Pam took him to the vet where he had to get a shot. God was with Squiggles when he had to be brave. God will be with all of us when we need to be brave.

Halloween Spooktacular with Trunk or Treat!  Bring the whole family and a trunk full of treats when you join us on Sunday, October 29 from 6:00-7:30 pm. Feel free to join us for “Breaking Bread” worship (includes a meal) at 5:00 pm in the Great Hall. After worship, families will meet in the Sanctuary for some creepy music and a blessing before heading out to the parking lot. Kids will “trick or treat” from families’ trunks in the parking lot! Make sure to decorate your trunk (optional). You could win a ribbon! Ribbons will be awarded for Most Creative, Best Christian Theme, Most Original, and Best Inclusion of the Entire Family …. New this year: a ribbon for the Best Dressed Family without a trunk! So put on your thinking cap and start to plan. Cost is free, but please register online.

GodZone will be on Fall Break this Sunday, October 22. See you in worship!

Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
