August 2022 Food Shelf Collection

The Food Shelf is collecting global cuisine items for August. Ideas include taco seasoning, turmeric, curry, rice noodles, oregano, varieties of rice, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, lentils, couscous, gnocchi, cardamom, ghee.

We all have that one dish that our grandma or mom made that brings us back to an earlier time, or that special dish your significant other makes just for you.

We all have special smells that provoke memories for us. Those dishes that bring to mind a clear as day moment that is very special.

In August, we are focusing on dishes not only from our history, but global cuisine of our neighbors and friends.

Please bring any donations in a paper bag (preferably with handles) to SOTV while the building is open. We also always accept donations of paper bags (preferably with handles). Thank you for your support!
