Capital Campaign Pledges Are In, What’s Next?

We celebrated our most successful capital campaign in SOTV history during worship services October 24-25, 2015. At that time, $3.88 million had been raised and pledges have continued to come in bringing our pledged total to $3,905,475! We are grateful for the generosity and support of our congregation.

So, what happens now? As the pledging period of the campaign wraps up and the calendar year comes to a close, campaign pledges will continue to be accepted through the end of the year. Pledge cards are available at the Welcome Center and online.

As most of you have heard, the priorities of the campaign focus on Debt Reduction, Facility Improvements, and Outreach Expansion. As people pledged their commitment to a five year campaign, the fulfillment of each pledge varies over this time period. Now that the pledged total is known to us, SOTV Council will work with appropriate Leadership Teams over the next two months to evaluate and determine the appropriate allocations and distributions to each of the three priorities of the campaign.  In addition, goals and milestones will be set for each area. As these goals and milestones are met, updates and communication will be provided to the congregation. We can expect the first communication after the first of the New Year 2016.

Recently, a survey was distributed electronically to as many pledged households as we could reach. One question addressed communication preference. We will use this information to discern the best way to share Capital Campaign updates. If you did not receive a survey and would like to share your thoughts regarding the capital campaign, please contact trip.sullivan@sotv.org. In addition, if you have updates to your email contact information, please contact or visit the Welcome Center or call 952-432-6351 to update your information.

We are grateful for all the generous support of SOTV in all areas of ministry. Thank you for your continued generosity!
