In this Sunday Forum session, Dr. Jen Kilps will look at the vibrant religious diversity shaping our local neighborhoods and the grassroots efforts bringing these groups together. Drawing on decades of experience in refugee services and peace organizing, Kilps will share real-world stories of how Minnesotans are overcoming religious differences to work toward a shared future. This session offers practical insights into how interfaith collaboration and understanding is essential to building the social fabric of our communities today.
More about Dr. Jennifer Kilps
Dr. Jen Kilps currently works as the network executive for the Minnesota Multifaith Network, and serves on the Collegeville Institute Multi-Religious Fellows Advisory Committee and Twin Cities Nonviolent Board. She has spent the entirety of her career organizing faith communities and volunteers around issues of peace and social justice. Jen's work began in 1992 for the Lutheran Office for Public Policy in WI, Lutheran Volunteer Corps, Minnesota Council of Churches Refugee Services Program, and the national Church World Service Refugee Resettlement Program in NYC. Jen holds a doctorate in theology from the Centre for the Study of Religion and Politics at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Her research focused on the topic of Christian hospitality and refugee resettlement. She is a past teacher of World Religions and Anthropology of Religion. She is also an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) facilitator. Most recently, Jen has trained as an End of Life Doula through the University of Vermont’s Medical School. She considers interfaith work her vocation.

These speakers inspire us in our faith to seek a better understanding of God in today’s ever-changing world. There is time set aside for questions at the end of the presentation.
