Fall is in the air. The evenings have become cool and crisp, and the State Fair has come and gone. Warm memories of summer fun linger in our minds, as we collectively get ready for a new season. Fall can be experienced as a time of endings, but it is also an exciting time of new beginnings. The backpacks are full with new school supplies. Class lists have been posted, and new friendships will be made. Even adults find “routine” again, even if that routine is different than the year before. As one season comes to a close, a new season awaits full of promise.
With this new season, comes many opportunities to help you grow in faith.
Starting with our youngest, we have a new event for families with children from infants to age three. We offer Sunday school (GodZone) for preschool through third grade. On Wednesday evenings, we have weekly classes for Zone 45 (4th and 5th graders) and Confirmation (6th through 9th grade). New high school small groups will also begin this fall.
We also have a number of opportunities for adults, including a new Parent Connect group. There are Bible studies, book studies, and classes that range from one day to two years. Will you challenge your routine, and include something new that supports your faith this fall?
And all are invited to our annual Block Party on September 7, as we celebrate God’s goodness and the promise of new beginnings.
We hope you will join us this fall as together we launch into a new season of ministry. God is always at work among us, making us new and refreshing us for a life of loving God and loving others. In Isaiah 43:19, God says, “I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
God is at work, making all things new. As summer gives way to fall, let us celebrate the work God does among us.
