What to Expect

Help Build a Home with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity! Join Lutherans from several congregations for a week of building a new home in Farmington! We will need 15 volunteers each day!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Having a ton of fun!

Health + Safety:

  • Vaccination or testing is highly encouraged but no longer required for volunteers to join us on site.
  • Masks are optional, regardless of vaccination status.
  • To ensure the safety of everyone on site, we still encourage healthy practices such as staying home when sick and washing your hands regularly.
  • Please read our full COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for more details.

Volunteer Guidelines:

  • Volunteers must wear sturdy, closed toe, closed heel shoes to participate (tennis shoes or work boots are great).
  • Please bring refillable water bottles to site. We will have water on site to replenish your bottles.
  • Bring work gloves if you’d like to use your own. All sites will also have some available for use.
  • Lunch is not provided by Habitat. If your group is not providing lunch, please bring your own. Volunteers are discouraged from leaving site for lunch.
  • Youth under 16 are not allowed on site. All 16- and 17-year-olds on site must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older.
  • During the summer, work is largely done outdoors. Dressing in layers, applying sunscreen, and taking breaks often on warmer days is encouraged.
  • Please read our full Volunteer Guidelines for more detail
