Men of all ages are invited to join a weekly Bible study or book discussion that fits into your schedule and enriches your life!
Weekly on Tuesdays
6:30 – 7:30 am
Shepherd of the Valley (Narthex)
Currently studying the Book of Ephesians
This group of men explore the Bible through a series of assorted study guides, connect with each other on our life activities, and share prayer concerns each week. They also engage in an optional, off-site service project each month.
The group is currently studying the Book of Ephesians. The Practice Resurrection Study Guide by Eugene Peterson brings the voice of Scripture — especially Paul’s letter to the Ephesians — and the voice of the contemporary Christian congregation together to unpack what it means to fully grow up “to the stature of Christ.” Peterson’s robust discussion will move readers to restore transformed Christian character to the center of their lives. Order the study guide.
Feel free to drop in on any Tuesday morning to join us for this in-depth exploration of Ephesians. There is a Zoom link option if a person is not able to attend the meeting in-person. If you’d like to check out the group on Zoom, a Zoom link will be sent to you.
All are welcome to join us at any time in this on-going learning/growing adventure – there is no Biblical expertise prerequisite at all! Consider giving this a try as one way to expand the Scriptural foundation of your faith in a supportive, small group setting! Fresh-brewed coffee is provided each morning so come have your morning cup of Joe with us and enjoy a great start to your day! We hope to see you soon!

Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God
Beginning Friday, September 13
Christians are taught in their churches and schools that prayer is the most powerful way to experience God. But few receive instruction or guidance in how to make prayer genuinely meaningful. In his popular book Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God, renowned pastor Timothy Keller delves into the many facets of this everyday act.
With his trademark insights and energy, Keller offers biblical guidance as well as specific prayers for certain situations, such as dealing with grief, loss, love, and forgiveness. He discusses ways to make prayers more personal and powerful, and how to establish a practice of prayer that works for each reader.
Consider joining us via Zoom for an engaging exploration of this book, within the supportive context of a continuing men’s group, as we discuss applying our faith to real life. Bring your questions and experiences as we together learn more about what it means to have been claimed by God. All men are welcome to join us!
