2026 Vacation Bible School Recap
Over two weeks in mid-July, our church was transformed into High Tide Harbor, and what a boat-load of fun it was! More than 250 kids came through our doors and together, we learned to see the beauty and goodness of all creation, to trust God like Noah and his family, to celebrate the places we experience God in our lives like Miriam, and to remember that we are sent into the world to share God’s love and message with everyone, just like Jesus did!
Of course, none of this happens by accident. Our Children, Youth, and Family (CYF) team begins dreaming and planning for VBS almost as soon as the previous year ends, and it takes the hands, creativity, and care of the entire Shepherd of the Valley staff to build such a wonderful, immersive experience.
We are also deeply grateful for the energy, guidance, and kindness of our nearly 150 volunteers, who helped make every day of VBS joyful and meaningful for our kids.
Each year, Vacation Bible School also gives us a chance to highlight a ministry of Shepherd of the Valley Welcome to High Tide Harbor! 2026 Vacation Bible School Recap that we care deeply about. This year, our focus was on the ways our congregation is working to be more eco-friendly as we continue our partnership with the EcoFaith Network. During the two weeks of VBS, we raised $1,326.44, which will support future projects that help us live out our calling as caretakers of God’s wonderful creation.
The sets may be down and the kids may have headed home, but we are not quite ready to quit the fun yet. Please enjoy this little glimpse into the wonderful world of High Tide Harbor Vacation Bible School 2026.
