In the upcoming Sunday Forum session, Barry Anderson will provide a walk through both the text and the era of the Declaration of Independence. 

About the Speaker

A Mankato native, Justice Anderson practiced law in Fairmont and Hutchinson, before beginning his judicial career. Anderson served six years on the Minnesota Court of Appeals and 19 years on the Minnesota Supreme Court, before retiring in 2024. He has long been interested in civics and American history and is a frequent speaker on these topics. His remarks at Shepherd of the Valley will focus on the Declaration of Independence, which was signed in Philadelphia 250 years ago, and related issues.
