What to Expect

At certain seasons — especially around midlife — we may find ourselves looking backward with longing and forward with uncertainty. It’s easy to wonder if the best years are behind us. But what if that isn’t true? What if God still has rich, meaningful, and joy-filled chapters ahead?

In this encouraging and hope-filled course, Charlie Ortloff invites participants to explore the promise that life in Christ deepens and grows more abundant with time. Together, we will reflect on Scripture, listen for God’s ongoing work in our lives, and consider the possibility that the best may indeed be yet to come.

Classes are highly conversational rather than lecture-based. Through large- and small-group discussion, biblical and contemporary stories, spiritual practices, poetry, and gentle humor, participants will engage the material in meaningful ways. Ample time will be provided for thoughtful reflection and interaction with both Charlie and fellow participants.

Shepherd of the Valley is committed to welcoming people of all abilities and working to understand and meet the needs of our congregation. If you need an accommodation, modification, or assistance to fully participate in this event, please contact Pastor Peter Harrits. We may not be able to meet all requests at this time.
