April Tiny Try-It-Out: Finding Resurrection

Easter is a celebration that Jesus is alive again! During the spring season, the earth is filled with signs of new life. As the buds appear and grass grows, we see elements of resurrection everywhere we look. This month’s Tiny Try-It-Out encourages you to explore God’s creation to look for signs of new life.

Ideas for Grandparents

Consider these ideas for Finding Resurrection that you can incorporate into your own unique circumstances:

  • As a regular caregiver for little ones: Use the New Life Nature Bingo Sheet as you explore the backyard or take a walk.
  • At a special family gathering: Divide everyone into teams and send them outside with the Resurrection Scavenger Hunt. Collect items, take pictures, or make notes to share with each other the cool things you find to fit each category.
  • From a distance: Share the Resurrection Scavenger Hunt with your family via email or text. Take turns snapping and sending pictures of what you find for each category.
  • With older grandkids: Use your collective creativity to decorate an outdoor Easter tree together in the SOTV Parking Lot on Saturday, April 8 between 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Remove decorations any time the follow week. (Deadline for removal is Saturday, April 15 by 3:00 pm.). For decoration ideas and other details, and to sign up click here.

How will you use Finding Resurrection to talk and pray with those you love?

Volunteers Needed to Deliver Newborn Care Packages

Did you know that SOTV staff and volunteers deliver Care Packages to parents of new babies? Volunteers each deliver 2-3 packages to local homes. Would you like to help or get more information? Contact Katie Strand by replying to this email! We make deliveries several times a year. The next round of deliveries will be made at the end of April.
