Grandparent Tiny Try-It-Out: Rest

“Come to me, all you who are weary, and I will give you rest.” This verse from Matthew is a great reminder of the importance of rest! The end of summertime is a great time to spend resting and reflecting as the fun, busy season comes to an end.

Ideas for Grandparents

Consider these ideas for Rest and Reflection that you can incorporate into your own unique circumstances:

  • As a regular caregiver for little ones: Guide them through this meditation and reflect together on the gifts of these past summer months.
  • From a distance: Send this music video of Kari Jobe’s song “Rest” for them to enjoy.
  • At a family gathering: Gather paper and crayons or colored pencils and create Me Trees together as a way to talk about your family members and support system.
  • When grandkids sleep over: Find bedtime meditations for kids from Headspace.

How will you Rest and Reflect with those you love?
