Grandparent Tiny Try-It-Out: Sharing the Good News

God calls us to share the good news of Jesus, God’s love, and God’s dreams for the world through sermons, scripture, and stories.

Ideas for Grandparents

Consider these ideas for Sharing the Good News that you can incorporate into your own unique circumstances:

  • As a regular caregiver for little ones: Enjoy the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas and be reminded that you don’t need to be loud to share the good news. Watch Linus explain the true meaning of Christmas in a quiet but clear way.
  • With older grandkids: Share with them the music video Those Who Dream, written and recorded by The Many. Ask your young people about their dreams for themselves and for the world. Let them inspire you!
  • At a family gathering: Break into teams to see who can complete a row, column, or even a cover all on the Advent Bingo
  • From a distance: Make a Megaphone! Christmas is the time to share the good news of Jesus’ birth. Send an electronic or printed copy of this image so they can decorate and create a megaphone you can all use to spread the word with joy!

How will you experience Sharing the Good News with those you love?
