June 17: Mike Henry “The Book of Love” (meeting in the Chapel)

Mike Henry, who was a radio DJ back in the 1960’s, is coming to Shepherd of the Valley to take us back to the days when we were young. The “Book of Love” includes clips from more than 100 of the greatest love song recordings of the 1940s, 50s, and 60s along with stories and pictures. 

Featured artists include Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, Patti Page, The Beatles, Tony Bennett, The Platters, Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, and many more. Reminisce with Mike as we listen to the original records that bring back memories of how we were feeling during those early dating years of our lives. 

Join us for some good entertainment and wonderful treats. An optional freewill donation will be taken to help with the cost of the musician.

In case you are new to Shepherd of the Valley, the OKs group is a seniors group (ages 55+) that provides opportunities to live deeper relationships with Christ and with one another.
