A Lifestyle of Stewardship! | Week 1

Russell Tapper, Stewardship Leadership Team member shares a quick word about stewardship and a couple important reminders:

“By now, you should have received a mailing from SOTV at home. If you haven’t, don’t worry—you can pick up a brochure and giving card today by the “Centered in Christ” banner in the narthex. These giving cards are an important part of our annual stewardship initiative.

This year, the Stewardship Leadership Team has been talking about stewardship as more than just numbers or dollars—it’s really about who we are as a community of faith. Stewardship is how we live into God’s calling for us, together, with the gifts God has already entrusted to us.

For me personally, I’ve seen how giving consistently has not only strengthened my connection to this church, but also given me a sense of gratitude and purpose. When I fill out my giving card, I’m not just making a financial commitment—I’m making a spiritual one. It reminds me that I give because God has blessed me, and because I believe in the work this church is doing.

So, I encourage each of you to prayerfully consider, Why you give? Why does this community matter to you? And then reflect that in your giving card.

Please remember to return your giving card by Sunday, October 12, 2025. You can place it in the offering plate during worship, drop it in the black box in the narthex, mail it in, or deliver it to the Finance Office.

Thank you for your generosity, your faith, and for being part of this community.

Together, we are living out God’s mission.”
