Communion Preparation Class (October)

What to Expect

Communers of all ages are invited to attend a communion learning experience. Children must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. This one-night class (about 60 minutes) is a guided parent/child experience to support a meaningful communion practice. 

The class includes videos, discussion time, tasting of the bread and wine, prayer, and answering children’s questions. Families are then invited to worship on October 5/6 to participate in the celebration of communion together, or may choose to do so at a later date.

Shepherd of the Valley is committed to welcoming people of all abilities and working to understand and meet the needs of our congregation. If your child needs an accommodation, modification, or assistance to fully participate in this event, please indicate this in the "Health Concern Explanation" field of your registration, and your program leader will follow up if there are questions. We may not be able to meet all requests at this time.
